DonorsMICE was initiated by a financial donation from Laszlo (Les) Meszaros and is a recipient of ongoing support from several foundations, local business executives and corporations. To sustain and grow its program offerings, MICE has developed a marketing and solicitation plan that identifies and reaches out to a variety of philanthropic organizations. Strategies and tactics are being developed to involve corporate sponsors and other foundations who endorse the concept of education for the next generation of leaders. There is a high level of volunteer assistance. Currently, in-kind resources such as classroom facilities are provided by the University at Buffalo. Other in-kind services are being offered by community organizations in Buffalo and the surrounding area. Nominal tuition (based on financial ability) is assessed to support student motivation and perception of value. Work is underway to develop instructional (for-sale) materials that target entrepreneurial audiences. The founder of MICE leads by example, and hopes that doing so will encourage other successful individuals and organizations worldwide to be equally generous and active participants in the MICE program and in the area of social responsibility.
